IT IS FINISHED!!

Dear Friends, today all over the world we re-enact and commemorate the passion of our Lord Jesus Christ. Today, we reflect on the sufferings of Christ on the cross. The cross of our salvation. There is a dead silence in the heart of all Christians today as we in sober reflection mourn the death of our saviour on a Cross

Many a time, we tend to neglect the symbolic role of the cross in our life, for many, suffering should not be a part of their life. Christ humbled himself up to the point of dying a shameful death on the Cross. He could have chosen to die through other means but he choose the cross because of His love for us. On a day like this, we Christians are urged to take time and reflect upon our life. Socrates once said "an unexamined life is not worth living", let us conduct an examination of conscience upon our life, let us ponder on the mystery of the cross because our redemption came from the cross when Christ gave us the injunction "IT IS FINISHED"-John19:30.

Let us as faithful Christians who were redeemed by the precious and costless blood shed on the cross put to an end all forms of social and moral vices in our lives so that we may be able to resurrect with him on Easter Sunday. Let us advance more in our charitable works for "Charity covers a multitude of sins", Let us continue to reciprocate that same agape love that Christ showered on us to our neighbours in need so that we may behold His beatific vision on the last day.

Happy Easter in advance!!
