OPEN CONFESSION.

Why was she so interested to know which of the priests was at the confessional, probably she had confessed same sin over and over again to a particular priest, and was scared of going back to him at the confessional. Maybe she was afraid of the penance she might receive, she was probably scared of the penance that usually comes from a particular priest, and was not prepared to face him. She just needed a sharp and fast penance even for the most heinous sins. Lastly I thought, she used to front her self as “Saint Nkechi” before one of the priests and now she wants to confess how she acted a non recorded BF with her boy friend and she wouldn’t take the risk of confessing it before a priest that sees her as the first Nigerian Saint.

In all my assumptions, I feel she was not ready to reconcile with God for her sins. You should reconcile deep in your heart before making a confession. It is not a mere act of what others do, or because you don’t want people to see you as a sinner when you are the only one sitting in your chair when others in your row have gone for communion during the mass. This month of November is another month that God is offering us an opportunity to turn away from our evil deeds. Like the poor girl in that photo(tho not real), we might have been in the same situation with her, We might have trembled each time we kneel at the confessional, forgetting that Our God is a merciful God.  

Dear Friends, It’s high time we stopped living our lives trying to please the world. If it pleases God of course it is the best decision. But when you put people before God in decision making, then don’t bother running back to him when things don’t work out the way you planned them. Let us during this month of November repent from our sins and turn to God as we anticipate the joyous coming of our Lord Jesus Christ "EMMANUEL". Many wished to see this month, but weren't granted this singular opportunity. make hay while the sun shines. 

People fail, God Doesn’t.
